Well we did it! Or should I say I did it.... Wasn't sure I'd get through the summer, or the fall. Had more 22 hour work days than not but it was SOOO worth it.
I love having a job that allows me to work from home and not commute when I'm that tired at 3am. I love that I am creating everyday and expressing my passion. I love that I make my own hours - well, sometimes... lol
I am very thankful that our new ALBERTA APPROVED COMMERCIAL KITCHEN allows me to see product year round. We currently have 2 locations in Sylvan Lake that occasionally order product. I am currently working on establishing a cross marketing campaign with a 3rd location - a cafe! I am very excited at the possibilities this relationship may bring.
Folks keep asking what markets I'll be attending this summer. I have yet to decide... Sounds crazy, but there are so many variables including weather, proximity and availability of help!! In some form or another we will be in SYLVAN LAKE FRIDAYS AND BENTLEY SATURDAY AFTERNOONS.... We are weighing our options for our other markets still and will let you know AS SOON AS I KNOW!!
I have started a "DESSERT OF THE WEEK" program for the offseason - with everything from cookies, cupcakes and bar cakes to banana breads and full size cheesecakes!
